3RD QUARTER FACE-TO-FACE EVENT

On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Richmond's most ambitious leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators came together for an afternoon centered on "Falling in Love with Technology", led by local businesswomen as the moderator and panelists.  Shared experiences, questions, and forward-thinking spirit made the conversation truly remarkable and motivating.

Go Getters Community Outreach

FACTS Sickle Cell 5k Walk

It's our last community event of the event and we went "all-in", sporting new RVA Go Getters t-shirts!  A fun, healthy way to network and support a worthy case.  With a great turnout, including Mayor Danny Avula, other local politicians, and Florence Copper-Smith in attendance, again, FACTS announced that the $1 Million mission for sickle cell research and support had been reached.  However, this is not end.  It's still the beginning.  We survived and will continue to support the cause.

Woodland Cemetery Cleanup

It's June, and we came ready for the heat, hard work, and the bugs!  Turned out not to be a bad day for working outside and the bug spray apparently was affective.  We were able to help with much needed cleanup and were rewarded by an unexpected tour, walk back in time and education through the stories about the peopled buried at Woodland Cemetery and the ones that are there but haven't been found yet.  Truly, an inspirational day.

Feed More

Cold, drenching rain couldn't stop the show!  Go Getters partnered with CAHN and FeedMore.org to distribute pallets of dry, fresh and frozen foods to the local residents.  They came with bags and carts, and some with canes and in scooters.  The line was down the block and around the corner.  What an inspiring, "feel-good" event!
